Teaches letter recognition
My 5 year old uses the typing portion of this app to learn keyboard skills. This section is straight-forward, where you are presented with words and an on-screen keyboard highlighting the letters in the word. We use an external keyboard, making the on-screen keyboard redundant, but since the letters are presented on screen in lower-case, I think its helpful to see them in addition to the upper-case letters on the keyboard.
We occasionally look at the "Explore letters" portion of this app, where there are cute graphics accompanying fun words like "Squid for S."
