Interactive Alphabet ABC's App Reviews

Great app with nasty bug

Both of my children love this application but it suffers from a fairly serious bug. If your child touches the screen multiple times all of the touches are transferred to the application meaning that your child can select a letter, hit the screen a few too many times and suddenly find themselves on W instead of A like they picked. Quite a few kids apps suffer from this but sadly the positioning of the controls in this app make it quite prone to it and it impacts the app greatly.

Just the right app

Enough colour and sound for kids under 3

Great purchase!!

My 6 month old daughter LOVES this app! From the colors to the pictures to the sounds! It is so cute going through it with her!

The app title says it all

Very interactive.Great tool to teach my childern about the ABCs... Makes learning fun, which is what you need at a young age

Good App

A good app, even a very good one, that could be great with a few improvements. Some letters offer some fun activities and surprises while others are kind of boring and too simple to play with. It makes for an uneven kind of experience and my son will skip certain letters. Still, he enjoys it overall and I do recommend this to parents with preschoolers.

What happened to the sound?

Kids loved this app and we played it often. Really helped with their alphabet but now the sound has stopped working and it seems to be a common problem with other users. Will this be fixed? Id give this app 5 stars but without sound, it is useless.

Wonderful

Perfect for preschoolers and primary students to develop sound to letter association. excellent interactive visuals. Have not have trouble with audio at all. Sometimes have trouble with letter Q as cant get put of quill writing. Overall one of the best alphabet and letter sound Apps around.

Something wrong with the letter o

You cant get out of it. You just tap olives endlessly and cant progress. You have to quit the app entirely.

Sound does not work. Do not buy,,,,

The app worked fine the first day on my iPad. After I switched it off and then back on, the sound does not play anymore. Tried to reset many times. Still no sound :(. Not worth the money.

Great app

Love this app. Great for my two year old. No problems with sound, though have had the problem getting out of Q. My child loves the dinosaur!

Worth the money!

This app is well worth the price. My two year old loves it and is entertained for long periods of time. Very easy to navigate.

Action-oriented learning

There are plenty of alphabet and flash-card apps in the App Store. "Interactive Alphabet" stands out because every card is also a simple toy. If you touch the apple on the A is for Apple" flash card, you take a bite out of the apple. Its not really a game, but your toddler is likely to tell you about he "eats the apple." Its easy to see how this very simple difference keeps the flash-cards interesting and engaging for little ones. A superior educational app.

Only Alphabet App You Need

What We Liked: I have to admit that I’m a bit fussy when it comes to alphabet apps. With so many rather mediocre (or even poorly executed) ABC apps in the store, a homeschooling mom can afford to be selective. I’m sure there are many devices out there (mine have been included in this number) loaded with alphabet apps that do a few things, but don’t contain everything a parent might need for their children. Well, I’m happy to say that after much searching I’m confident in saying that Interactive Alphabet gets all the bases covered with style. Not only do you get the classic phonological awareness of the letter name and the word that starts with the letter (that all alphabet books include) BUT you also get the explicit phonics connection with the statement of the letters sound. Your choice of letter case, alphabet song, letter names, phonics, and fun interactivity – this app has it all covered. Pi’ikea’s apps are always high quality with crisp clear graphics and activities on each letter page that truly appeal to children (mine give it Hundreds of stars!", you just can’t go wrong with this one. Feel free to delete at least 90% of your other alphabet book apps after you install Interactive Alphabet – this one’s a winner. What We Didn’t Like: Nothing. Overall: Interactive Alphabet ABCs is a classic alphabet app, containing everything a parent could want in a digital ABC book while having clear, simple navigation that even toddlers can work with. Letter names, letter sounds, the alphabet song – its all here and its all done well. There’s a reason Interactive Alphabet has remained a top seller in the App Store for years.
